Religion has become a bit of a taboo subject in recent years. I don’t think its because not as many people are affiliated with a religion. I think, rather, that it is because we are becoming either more conscious about differences in religious affiliation or we are becoming super sensitive to anything that may be politically incorrect, depending on how you look at it. We need to remember that we are a nation of many people and many faiths. Faiths are connected to cultures and we need to be mindful of both.
In this day of prayer I will pray for all those who lost their lives due to violence, war, and disease. I will pray for those who are starving or suffering across the world. I will pray for the forgotten, exploited, and hated. I will pray for my enemy, as Jesus would.
